Armed Youths Created Ruckus, Firing And Burning Three Bikes

New Delhi. Some youths created a ruckus in Sangam Vihar area on Sunday night. The youths set three motorcycles on fire apart from firing. The youth had created so much panic in the area that the locals kept themselves locked in their homes. Police have recovered three shells from the spot. South District DCP Benita Marie Jacker while confirming the incident said that a case has been registered. The matter is under investigation. South district police officers are calling it a fight between two groups.
According to South District Police officials, a boy named Ibrahim lives in Sangam Vihar’s street number K-19. Ibrahim left the house for a walk on Sunday night. On the way he met some of his acquaintances. Here they quarreled in a joking manner. The youths present there called for themselves and their companions. The companions reached there with weapons. It is alleged that they first beat up Ibrahim and then started firing in the street. It is being told that the youth had fired more than six bullets. However, no one got shot. After this, three motorcycles parked in the street were set on fire.
Police have recovered two empty shells of 7.65 bore and one empty shell of 315 bore from the spot. The police have taken all the three shelled and burnt motorcycles in their possession. Taking suo motu cognizance, the police have registered a case in this regard. No arrest could be made in this case till late Monday night. Police officials say that efforts are being made to identify and nab the accused.
