New DelhiThe Board of Control for Cricket in India is constantly reshuffling the T20 World Cup squad. Two other young players who have performed well in the IPL have also been included in the Indian team.
Earlier, BCCI had also included Umran Malik in the Indian team. He made a place in the staff on the basis of his fast bowling. Umran Malik plays IPL for Hyderabad.
Venkatesh Iyer and Avesh will join the team
Delhi Capitals fast bowler Avesh Khan has been asked by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to stay in the UAE after the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) and join India’s T20 World Cup team as a net bowler. Kolkata opener Venkatesh Iyer has also been asked to stay in the UAE.
Umran Malik also made net bowler
The 24-year-old Avesh is the second fast bowler, after Jammu and Kashmir pacer Umran Malik, to be asked to join the team. If sources are to be believed, this fast bowler can get a place in the list of standby players. Apart from this, Venkatesh Iyer will also stay in UAE. India will start its campaign against Pakistan on 24 October.
Avesh Khan has already joined Team India
Avesh Khan is second only to Harshal Patel (32 wickets) in the list of highest wicket-takers this IPL season.

Avesh bowls at an average speed of 142 to 145 kmph. He also gets good bounce from flat pitches and the support staff has been eyeing him for some time now.
Avesh also went to England as a standby with the Test team, but had to return mid-tour due to a fractured finger during India’s warm-up match against the combined county team.
