Bhopal Crime News: Bhopal (Navdunia representative). In October, the third such incident has come to the fore in Shahpura, in which fraud has been done by pretending to be an army soldier. On Friday also asked to scan by sending QR code and in two times about 96 thousand rupees were withdrawn from the victim’s account.
According to police, Pankaj Singh Thakur (42) lives in Shantikunj Bharat Nagar, Shahpura and is a legal advisor in a private company based in Mandideep. A few days back, he had given an online advertisement for renting out his house. Seeing this advertisement, on October 3, an unknown person called him and expressed his desire to take a house on rent, pretending to be an army soldier. After the conversation, he also talked about sending the fare in advance. First, after sending one rupee check, one rupee reached Pankaj’s account. After this the accused asked them to scan by sending the QR code. After scanning the code, money was deducted from his account, then he said that it must have happened by mistake, he is sending the QR code again. For the second time also Pankaj’s Rs. In this way a total of Rs 95 thousand 997 was withdrawn from his account. Later the fraudster got his number switched off. Frustrated, Pankaj complained in cybercrime, after which Shahpura police has registered a case. It is worth mentioning that the cases of such crime are increasing continuously in the capital.
