While refilling LPG illegally in a car, a fire suddenly broke out in a garage located on Bagheli Cantonment Road in the local Kotwali area on Monday. Due to this the car burnt down. The incident caused a stir in the surrounding area for some time. Fearing action, both the car driver and the garage operator fled from the spot. Police is searching for them.
Nearby shopkeepers told that the car driver gets the LPG kit for domestic use installed in the car. When the gas ran out in the morning, the driver parked the car in front of the garage on Baghel Cantonment Road and started refilling. When the driver got addicted to smoking cigarettes, he started lighting matches. The car caught fire as the driver lit the match. As soon as the fire broke out, the refillers and the driver of the car ran away making noise. By setting up a large number of shops near the cantonment, a running race started among the people making a living. The crowd gathered at the spot informed the police and fire brigade. The police reached the spot, but by the time the fire brigade arrived, the car was largely burnt. Sub-Inspector Santosh Rai said that search is on for more car driver who illegally refilling the garage. Action will be taken against both.
If anyone is filling or filling LPG in the vehicle illegally, then action will be taken against him. Search is on in the Gopiganj incident.
