Two other accused in this case are also absconding.
Anupam Gupta has said in the anticipatory bail petition that he is not a director of GBP Group. He works as a consultant with different companies. He has nothing to do with GBP Group nor has he cheated anyone.
The complainant’s counsel opposed the bail plea saying that the accused used to implicate the customers by pretending to be the director of the group. He had invested lakhs of rupees only at the behest of Anupam Gupta. At the same time, other accused involved in this fraud have fled abroad. Now Anupam Gupta is saying to save himself that he is not the director. After hearing the arguments of both the sides, the court dismissed the petition of Anupam Gupta.
