According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Friday morning, 16,862 new cases of corona (Covid 19 Update) have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. 19,391 corona patients have recovered during this period. Along with this, 379 more patients have died due to corona. A total of 58,88,44,673 samples were tested in the country till October 14, out of which 11,80,148 were tested on October 14.
With new corona cases, the number of infections has increased to 3,40,37,592. At the same time there are 2,03,678 active cases in the country. With this, the number of recovered cases has increased to 3,33,82,100 so far. So far, 4,51,814 people have died of corona infection in the country.
In the midst of the war with Corona, where there is strictness regarding the corona protocol in the country, the vaccination drive has also been intensified. A total of 97,14,38,553 vaccine doses have been administered so far. In which 30,26,483 shots have been given in the last 24 hours.
Last year on August 7 the number of infected in the country had exceeded 20 lakhs, on August 23, 30 lakhs and on September 5, more than 40 lakhs. At the same time, the total cases of infection had crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October and 90 lakh on 20 November. In the country on December 19, these cases crossed one crore, on May 4 this year it crossed two crore and on June 23, it crossed three crore.
The Health Ministry said that out of those who have died due to infection so far, more than 70 percent of the patients also had other diseases. The ministry said on its website that its data is being matched with the data of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICME).
