Ramsanehighat. A miscreant riding a bike, who was running away from the shop, was caught. The accused has been handed over to the police.
On Saturday, Govind Gupta, a resident of Sumerganj, was sitting in his general merchant’s shop in Ramsnehighat Kotwali area. Then seeing the silence, the bike rider reached his shop. Giving a bundle of clothes to Govind, he said that give 16 thousand rupees now, come back in a while and give 17 thousand rupees to you.
Govind got greedy and collected money from the people around and gave it to him. But as soon as the hawker started leaving on the bike, Govind got suspicious. He grabbed his bike carrier. Meanwhile, the bike rider started running fast but Govind did not leave the bike and he kept dragging for about 500 meters.
Many shopkeepers seeing this incident also ran after him. Then suddenly the bike became unbalanced and overturned. The people who reached the spot caught the fleeing miscreant. Meanwhile, SDM Vijay Dwivedi, who reached the spot, rescued the arrested youth from the crowd and took him to the police station. Where he has been identified as Suresh, a resident of Bhulbhulia in Shravasti district. The SDM said that the police is taking action by registering a case in this matter. (Dialogue)
