Auras (Unnao). The speeding car overturned uncontrollably as the driver caught a nap near Talsarai village of Hasanganj on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway. Two students of Hardoi, who were traveling in the car, died and a student was injured in the accident. All the competitive exams were returning from Agra.
Satish Batham, a resident of Malkanth of Hardoi Bilgram, is the president of the Bullion Association of Bilgram. His 26-year-old son Mridul Batham was pursuing his final year BCA from Integral University with a rented room in Vikas Nagar, Lucknow. On Sunday, he had gone to Agra with his fellow Civil Lines Hardoi resident Atul, 25, and Ananya, 18, a resident of Sector A Aliganj, Lucknow, to appear for a competitive examination.
While returning to Lucknow by car on Monday morning, Atul, who was driving the car near Talasarai village on the expressway, had a nap. Due to this the car got out of control and overturned after hitting the divider. Mridul Batham died on the spot in the accident. Atul, who was driving the car, died at Trauma Center Lucknow. Ananya was sent home after treatment at the CHC. Mridul was the younger of two brothers and two sisters. Mother Geeta and other relatives were in a bad condition on the information of death in the accident. Atul’s death has created a furore in the family.
