Hamirpur. On Saturday, the third day of Shardiya Navratri, devotees worshiped the form of Mother Chandraghanta and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the family. There was an influx of devotees from early morning in the Devi temples, this process continued till late night. During this, the atmosphere around the temples resonated with the praises of the mother.
In rural areas, there was a crowd of devotees in the temples of Goddess Durga and in the pandals of Goddess Durga. People worshiped. The whole district remained devotional with the deafening reverberation of devotional songs and bell-gharial from sound-amplifying instruments.
Bhajan Kirtan was followed by aarti in the city’s Vivek Nagar, Surahi temple. Mother devotees Akash Singh Rana, Prashil, Vipin, Pradeep Dwivedi, Awadhesh Dhuria, Bouwa, Pawan, Ujwal Gupta, Sanjay Ahirwar, Anil Verma, Rameshchandra Dwivedi, the temple priest of Chauradevi told that Mata Rani queued up to get a glimpse. In the early morning, women took out worshiping material like coconut, chunari etc. The faith of the devotees is being built on seeing it. There was a long queue of devotees in the ancient Chauradevi temple itself.
On Shardiya Navratri, nine forms of the goddess were worshiped in Maa Bagharajan temple. Earlier on Saturday, a grand Kalash Yatra was taken out in the town.
Maa Bagharajan Devi Temple located in Khushipura Mohalla of the city is the center of faith. Under the auspices of Maa Bagharajan Seva Samiti, nine forms of Maa Durga were worshiped in the temple. A grand Kalash Yatra was organized on this occasion. Devotees were swaying by blowing gulal to the tune of drums. The Kalash Yatra, which started from Maa Bagharajan temple, reached the temple from State Bank intersection via Ramlila Maidan, Sheetla Mata temple. Where worship was performed according to the law. On this occasion hundreds of devotees including Municipal President Srinivas Budhouliya, KG Agarwal, President of Brahma Vichar Samiti Rakesh Mishra, Suresh Khevria, Rajendra Dwivedi, Manish Lakshakar, Satish Nanda, Shankar Agarwal, BK Agarwal, Rajesh Goswami were present.
