Director General of India Coast Guard K Natarajan met Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary, discussed many issues including security challenges

Director General of India Coast Guard (ICG) K Natarajan met the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary on Tuesday. During this, the two discussed security challenges in maritime operations and issues of enhancing coordination between the ICG and the Indian Air Force.

Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhary has been made the new chief of the Indian Air Force last month. An alumnus of the National Defense Academy and Air Chief Marshal Choudhary, he joined the Indian Air Force on December 29, 1982. In a distinguished career spanning about 38 years, he has flown various types of fighter and training aircraft of the Indian Air Force. He has more than 3,800 hours of flying experience in MiG-21, MiG-23 MF, MiG-29 and Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jets.

War fighting modes are changing – Veer Chaudhary

Recently, the Chief of the Air Staff had said that a lot of challenges are increasing at the present time. No outside power will be allowed to enter our border. He said, “The modes of war fighting are changing. In such a situation, the Indian Air Force has also made rapid changes. We are moving towards self-reliant India where hi-tech projects are being made with the help of technology made in India. We have to digitally transform our operational training.” The new Air Chief saluted all the former chiefs for their visionary leadership. He said that the challenges are increasing continuously, along with it is increasing our resolve to make the best use of our strength and air power.

The Air Force Chief said that the modes of war fighting are changing. In addition, the advent of new domains over and above the traditional domains of land, sea and air has changed the way military operations are conducted. IAF Chief VR Choudhary said, “Keeping in sync with the changing nature of war fighting, the ongoing capability enhancement in IAF is aimed at making us more powerful. For this, we have to provide maximum resources and rapidly achieve the desired impact in all domains.”
