Marwari (Una). A car driver trampled the employees late on Thursday evening at the toll block in Marwari on the Himachal-Punjab border. Two people have been injured in the accident. Late Thursday, at around quarter past nine in the evening, Pawan Kumar, 55, resident of Fatehpur district, Kangra, an employee at Marwari toll barrier, and Ramesh Kumar, resident of Ganu Mandwara, standing with him, were cutting the slip of a vehicle coming from Talwara on the toll. While one lane was open for Punjab-bound vehicles. During this, a car from the wrong direction hit both the people and while trampling, the driver took the car away from the spot. Both the persons were brought to Daulatpur Hospital for treatment.
Due to more injuries, he has been referred to the regional hospital Una. The identity and number of the car that hit the vehicle has been informed to the police. The police is also checking the CCTV footage in the case. At the same time, Daulatpur Chowk police outpost in-charge SI Surjit Singh said that a case has been registered against the driver.
