Panipat. To grab the insurance amount, two friends falsely filed a case of car theft under the scheme. Now both the accused were roaming around with fake number plates on the car. On the basis of secret information, CIA-2 arrested him with a car and presented him in the court on Thursday and sent him to jail.
CIA-2 in-charge Inspector Virendra Singh said that on Wednesday, a secret information was received that two youths were sitting in an I-20 car on the road in front of Hyundai Agency. The number plate on the car is suspected to be fake. After interrogating both the youths sitting in the I-20 car, they identified themselves as Rakesh resident of Deshraj Colony and Vipin resident Keshavpuram Delhi. On asking for the documents of the car, the young man started betting on the pretext. On in-depth interrogation, the accused revealed that the car had a fake number plate.
During interrogation, it was told that Vipin had bought this car on finance in 2019. Due to rising debt, Vipin along with friend Rakesh hatched a plan to grab money from the insurance company. Then after selling the car to Rakesh for two lakh rupees, a false case of car theft was registered in the Crime Branch police station of Keshavpuram, Delhi. The accused Vipin grabbed the insurance amount from the insurance company. On the other hand, accused Rakesh, buying a car worth Rs 11 lakh for Rs 2 lakh, had a fake number plate on the car and kept roaming from the year 2019 till now. Inspector Virendra told that after registering a case under various sections of fraud in the police station Sector-13/17, the accused were sent to judicial custody after presenting them in the court.
