On Saturday, for the first time on the Jaurasi Valley, 12 drivers of speeding vehicles were caught by the traffic police from the interceptor vehicle found a week ago from the police headquarters. With the help of speed radar installed in this vehicle, the police have caught these drivers running on the highway at a higher speed than the prescribed speed. The police has collected a fine of Rs 1000 from each driver. SP Amit Sanghi reached the spot to see the action. The SP went through the pictures of the vehicles taken from the speed radar. The SP said that this action will reduce the accidents occurring at high speed.
DSP Traffic Naresh Anotia said that action was taken with the help of interceptor vehicle to control the speed of vehicles. Action was taken by putting a vehicle equipped with state-of-the-art equipment at Jaurasi Ghati and Malwa College. The speed radar reads the number plate of the vehicle along with the speed of the vehicle from a long distance and its print is also available immediately. Which makes it easier to take action. On the first day, 12 drivers have been caught and fined Rs 12,000. SP Amit Sanghi has appealed to the drivers. To avoid accidents, wear a seat belt while driving a four wheeler and a helmet while driving a two wheeler and drive at the prescribed speed.
