The journey of Mumbai Indians in IPL-2021 is over. Along with this, the debate has also started on the form of 6 players from Mumbai included in the T20 World Cup team. Apart from Rohit, Mumbai Indians’ Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Rahul Chahar and Jasprit Bumrah are also part of the Indian team for the T20 World Cup. Most of the discussion is happening about Hardik Pandya’s form and fitness.
After this statement of Rohit, doubts have arisen whether Hardik will be able to retain his place in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup. Pandya scored 10 runs in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2021 on Friday. But his bowling fitness remains a matter of concern in view of the T20 World Cup.
Hardik came out as a batsman for Mumbai after missing the first two matches in the second leg of IPL 2021 in UAE. The all-rounder did not bowl even in the first leg of the tournament in India.
Rohit said, ‘If we talk about Hardik’s bowling, then he has not bowled yet. Physio, trainer and medical team are working on his bowling. So far I know that he hasn’t even bowled a single ball. But we want to take one match at a time and see where he stands.
He said, ‘Only the doctor, physio will be able to give an update about this. He disappointed a bit when it comes to batting but we know what quality he has. He is a quality player and there is no doubt about it.
