Hockey India has decided to pull out of next year’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Hockey India on Tuesday decided to pull out of the Commonwealth Games, saying there would be only 32 days between the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and the Asian Games in Hangzhou. Hockey India said in its statement that it does not want to take the risk by sending its players to the UK which is badly affected by the corona virus global pandemic. Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has strongly objected to this decision of Hockey India.
