New Delhi: Even though the T20 Worldcup is being organized outside India, its host will be from India and the entire tournament will be organized under the direction of BCCI.
Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the match officials for the Round One matches and the Super 12 stage of the upcoming 2021 Men’s T20 World Cup, featuring 20 of the best match officials from around the world.
Only Indian got place
Only one Indian umpire has been given place in the panel of umpires. Nitin Menon is the lone Indian umpire in the list while Javagal Srinath will be the match referee.
The 16 umpires and four match referees for the 45-match tournament include three umpires who will umpire in their sixth ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which includes Aleem Dar, Marais Erasmus and Rod Tucker.
World Cup to be held in UAE and Oman
According to an ICC release, Sri Lanka’s Kumar Dharmasena, who was one of the on-field umpires for the final of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019, and New Zealand’s Chris Gaffney will be the umpires for the first match of the tournament between Oman and Papua New Guinea.

Another Sri Lankan player, the much experienced Ranjan Madugalle, will be the match referee, with Richard Kettleborough as the TV umpire and Ahsan Raza as the fourth official.
In the last World Cup, the final was played between West Indies and England. In this the Caribbean team had won. This time India is being considered as a strong contender for T20 World Cup.
Virat Kohli will be seen in this tournament for the last time while captaining in T20 cricket.
