New Delhi: After India’s strict stand, Britain (UK) withdrew the rule of mandatory quarantine for passengers coming from India. After which India has also withdrawn the extra restrictions imposed on passengers coming from Britain.

Health Ministry issued a new circular

The Ministry of Health issued a circular saying that after the new scenario, the restrictions imposed on travelers coming from Britain (UK) should be considered back. Now only international rules before February 17 will apply to travelers coming from Britain. Before 17 February, passengers coming from Britain had to submit their negative RT-PCR test report before boarding the plane.

Britain imposed restrictions on Indian travelers

Let us tell you that the UK has recognized the Kovishield vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute of India. Along with this, the rule of a mandatory 10-day quarantine period of 10 days has also been implemented for Indian travelers who have taken both doses of the vaccine on arrival in the UK. India talked to Britain on this issue and demanded to withdraw it, but Britain refused.

India also took strict steps against Britain

After this, India also took retaliatory steps and imposed strict rules for passengers coming from Britain (UK). In these, the condition of getting RT-PCR test done as soon as landing at Indian airports, completing the mandatory quarantine period of 10 days and getting corona test done again was imposed. India had implemented these rules from 1 October.

Britain’s voice slows down, sanctions withdrawn

After this tough stand of India, the voices of Britain (UK) slowed down. Officials there said that Britain has no problem with the Kovishield vaccine. It has some problem with India’s vaccine certification process, which should be improved. After this, Britain last week canceled the restrictions imposed on passengers coming from 47 countries including India. After this, India also announced the removal of restrictions and Kovid testing of travelers coming from Britain.
