India has been selected for UNHRC for the sixth time
Expressing gratitude, India’s Permanent Mission to the UN tweeted, ‘India has been re-elected to UNHRC for the sixth time with an overwhelming majority. Heartfelt thanks to the members of the United Nations for reposing their faith in India. We will continue to work for human rights through respect, dialogue, cooperation.

Countries elected by secret ballot
The United Nations General Assembly selected Argentina, Benin, Cameroon, Eritrea, Finland, Zambia, Honduras, India, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Montenegro, Paraguay, Qatar, Somalia, the United Arab Emirates and the United States by secret ballot.
