New Delhi: There may be some changes in Team India’s team for the ICC-T20 World Cup 2021 as captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma have made their 15-man squad for the tournament before October 10. A meeting has been held with the national selectors to finalize it.
The BCCI announced a 15-man squad for the World Cup on 8 September and the selectors surprised many by dropping Yuzvendra Chahal and Shardul Thakur from the team. Changes are possible during the UAE leg of the IPL with some players struggling in the opening squad and a number of dropped players consistently performing well.

There is a possibility of discussion in the meeting regarding Yuzvendra Chahal, who bowled brilliantly in IPL Phase-2. Chahal was not selected for the T20 World Cup and Rahul Chahar got a chance in his place. At the same time, Rahul’s performance has not been special in the second phase of IPL.
Apart from Yuzvendra Chahal, there is a possibility of a big discussion about the poor form of all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Along with poor form, Hardik’s poor fitness continues to be a source of concern for Team India. Hardik Pandya has not bowled a single ball in the second phase of IPL and has scored only 117 runs in 11 matches this season.
