Mann Ki Baat: 'Startup culture is developing in the country, a sign of better future', PM Modi said in Mann Ki Baat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that even in small towns, there is a trend among the youth for startups and a culture is expanding in the country, which he sees as a sign of a bright future. Through the 80th episode of All India Radio’s monthly program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the Prime Minister said that the move to open up the space sector to private participation was taken by the younger generation, students and youth thronged to take advantage of it. Taxes have come forward.

He expressed confidence that in the coming days a large number of such satellites would be on which the youth of the country would have worked. In this episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, the Prime Minister also discussed some other topics including India’s rich spiritual tradition and efforts to increase awareness about Sanskrit language.

He claimed that today the mind of the youth of the country has changed and he wants to do something new from the worn-out old ways. He said that today’s youth does not want to walk on ready-made paths, but he wants to make new paths.

Referring to the move to open up the space sector to private participation, the Prime Minister said, “Soon, the young generation has grabbed this opportunity and young people working in colleges, universities and private sectors are mobilizing to take advantage of it. Taxes have come forward. I am sure that in the coming days there will be a large number of such satellites on which our youth, our students, our colleges, our universities, the students working in the laboratories will have worked on it.”

He said that similarly, wherever you look and look in any family, the young man goes out of his family traditions and says that he will start a startup. He said, “His mind is jumping to take the risk. Today the startup culture is expanding even in small towns and I see signs of a bright future in it.

Referring to the possibilities in the toy market, the Prime Minister said that now the youth of the country are also coming forward in this field and are also doing new experiments. He said that the toy market in the world is worth Rs 6-7 lakh crore and today India’s share in it is very less. He said, “But how to make toys? What is the variety of toys? What is technology in toys? How are toys in line with force psychology? Today the youth of our country is focusing on him.

PM Modi said that the youth of today is now focusing himself towards the ‘best’ and wants to do the best. He said, “This too will emerge as a great power of the nation.”
