The country’s largest car company Maruti Suzuki India will increase the number of its mobile service vans to 300 by the end of the current financial year.
The company will increase the number of these vans under its Service on Wheels initiative. The company says that the purpose of this initiative is to help Maruti car owners during the Kovid epidemic.
Speaking to PTI, a senior company official said that due to the steps taken by Maruti Suzuki Service on Wheels and the company’s workshop, the vehicle services business has performed better in the second quarter as compared to the same period of 2019-20.

Partho Banerjee of MSIL said that Maruti Service has recovered very fast after the Kovid-19 epidemic. Our service to On Wheels has been excellent. Customers are giving it priority even today. He further said that till now the company was providing free service at the doorstep of the customers. Because on taking payment, the vehicle would need to be picked up and cleaned. After that the company resolved this matter through mobile service on Super Carry.
In less than a year, we now have 250 service on wheels vans, Banerjee said. Which is a big figure in a year. He said that we are expanding this very fast as now along with the dealers, customers are also giving priority to servicing at their doorstep. Banerjee has claimed that people in rural areas are liking this service a lot. The customers are so happy that they no longer have to go to the workshop.
