Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuiya Uikey has reached Bastar these days to see the rituals of the world famous Bastar Dussehra which lasted for 75 days in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar. Here he worshiped Maa Danteshwari located in Jagdalpur. Along with this, all the rituals of Bastar Dussehra were known from King Kamalchand Bhanjdev of Bastar. Governor Anusuiya Uike along with Raja also participated in the Ashwa Puja. At the same time, one of the important rituals of Bastar Dussehra saw the payment of Raini ritual outside. Along with the members of the royal family, they also performed the Nawakhai ritual by eating rice in Dona. Along with this, the traditional instrument of tribal culture Mohri was also played.

In fact, in the world famous Bastar Dussehra, the Madia tribe of Kilpal area stole the victory chariot and brought it to Kumhadakote according to the tradition going on for years. In search of the chariot, the royal family reached Kumhadakote with the whole of Lashkar. Here the royal family celebrated for the return of the chariot. On the other hand, according to tradition, the Madiya community put the condition of Navakhai, which was accepted by the royal family. Here the ritual of Nawakhai was completed. At the same time, the Madiya community has taken the chariot back to the Raj Mahal at night. This tradition has been going on for years. The governor observed this ritual closely.

During the three-day visit, Governor Anusuiya Uikey also reached to enjoy the Chitrakote Waterfall, which is called Niagara of Asia. Here dancers of Madia tribe welcomed the Governor with world famous Gaur dance, Muria dancers of Darbha area performed Leja Parab. Wearing traditional costumes, Governor Anusuiya Uikey also enjoyed the folk dance in harmony with the melody of folk instruments. Also got acquainted with the tribal culture of Bastar.
