New Delhi, Online Desk. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the most successful captain of the Indian cricket team, is going to be seen sitting in the dugout as the mentor of Team India in the T20 World Cup 2021. Dhoni’s association with the Indian team is a big deal in itself because now he will probably be one of the most important strategists for the Indian team against the opposition team. Dhoni has joined Team India after making his team Chennai Super Kings the winner of this season in the UAE leg of IPL 2021. Many other players who played the T20 World Cup for Team India this time have already joined the Indian camp and now Dhoni has joined the team along with other Indian players after CSK’s victory.

Dhoni was requested by the BCCI to join the team as a mentor so that apart from captain Virat Kohli, other Indian players can also get his guidance as well as benefit from his experience. Dhoni has spent more than a month in UAE before this World Cup and we all saw how he made his team champions and strategically he will prove to be very effective for India and there is no doubt about it. Dhoni had accepted to be the mentor of Team India for the service of the country and for this he did not demand a single rupee. This was disclosed by BCCI President Sourav Ganguly himself.

The Indian team will start its campaign against Pakistan in this World Cup under the captaincy of captain Virat Kohli and a league match will be played between the two countries on October 24. Before this, the Indian team also has to play two warm-up matches against the two best teams so that the Indian players will have a good chance of their preparation before the match against Pakistan. The Indian team will take on England in the warm-up match on October 18 and against Australia on October 20.
