Nepali Mps Delegation Saw Nepali Temple Pashupatinath Evidence Of Shared Culture Of Kashi And Kathmandu

The Nepalese delegation that visited Varanasi also took stock of the Nepalese temple at Lalita Ghat. The delegation recognized that Nepalese culture is preserved in its original form in Kashi. The government is giving a grand look to the temple. Nepali MPs who came last week visited Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Nepali Mandir (Pashupatinath Temple).

Before coming to Kashi, the team had raised the issue of Nepali temple by meeting Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his residence in Lucknow. The CM told the delegation that the Nepalese temple is a living proof of the shared culture of our Kashi and Kathmandu.

The group of MPs had discussed the possibilities of exchange of education, medicine, culture in Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth and Banaras Hindu University. The delegation included former Secretary General of Nepali Congress Party and former Foreign Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat, former Finance Minister Uday Shamsher JB Rana and MP and former Minister of Nepal Ajay Kumar Chaurasia.
