Earlier, a picture of a Pakistani jersey went viral on social media, in which the name of UAE was written in place of the host country India. Fans also gave different reactions regarding this. However, the name of India is written on the jersey launched by the PCB and all these rumors have also been put to rest. Actually, according to the rules of the International Cricket Council (ICC), the name and year of the host country along with the name of the tournament is mandatory on the jersey of any team. This time India is hosting the T20 World Cup. In such a situation, it is necessary to have his name on the jersey.
The T20 World Cup was earlier to be played in India, but due to the Corona epidemic in India, the BCCI and the ICC decided to transfer the venue to Oman and the UAE after mutual consent. Pakistan team is placed in Group-2 with India. Where apart from India, the teams of Afghanistan and New Zealand are also involved. Pakistan won the T20 World Cup trophy in the year 2009, while the team reached the final in 2007.
