The Pre-World Cup will be held in March-April 2022 at the world famous Bir Billing Valley located in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh after a long gap. The State Tourism Department has started preparations for the Pre World Cup. There has not been a single major competition in the Valley in the last three years. This competition will be held in the first week of March or April of the following year. It is noteworthy that October-November and March-April are the most suitable time for any type of competition throughout the year.

International pilots are expected to participate in the competition once restrictions are lifted and flights resume. The state tourism department will soon finalize the preparations for the competition after taking permission from the Aero Club of India, the only authorized body of aerial sports in the country. DTDO Prithipal Singh said that the competition is under consideration.
