Pride will have to be awakened towards religion RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said on conversion of Hindu girls

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has said that conversion of young Hindu girls and boys is wrong and they need to be proud of their religion and traditions. He said, “How does conversion happen? How do Hindu girls and boys adopt other religions for small selfishness, for marriage? Those who are doing this are wrong but that is another thing. Should we raise our children? Don’t you?” The Sangh chief said that we need to give them these values.

Addressing RSS workers and their families at an event in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani on Sunday, Bhagwat said that we need to instill pride in them for respect for ourselves, our religion and tradition of worship.

He urged the people to answer the questions in this regard without getting confused. Bhagwat said, “If questions come up, answer them. Don’t get confused. We must prepare our children and for that we need to learn.”

The RSS chief spoke of preserving traditional family values and traditions. He also urged people to visit Indian tourist places, consume home-cooked food and wear traditional attire.

Bhagwat said that the six mantras of staying connected to the roots of Indian culture include language, food, devotional songs, travel, dress and home. While he appealed to the people to follow the traditional customs, he insisted that untouchability should be renounced.

He said, “Don’t discriminate on the basis of caste. There should be no untouchability. Society has a habit of guessing religion by names. Discrimination of people should be completely removed from the heart.” He asked people to discuss these matters, including environmental issues related to saving water and planting more trees.

The RSS chief finally said, “When Hindus wake up, then the world will wake up.”
