Looking at the financial condition of the state, he had said that as little burden as possible would be put on the exchequer, but contrary to these claims, the additional burden of purchasing luxury cars worth crores of rupees for the state visits of the ministers was put on the exchequer.

On behalf of the new government, a proposal was sent to the Finance Department to buy 27 new Innova vehicles. The Finance Department rejected this proposal of the government saying that the state is currently facing financial crisis, so new vehicles cannot be bought, but after the pressure of the government and the new Chief Minister, the Finance Department gave its approval to the tune of Rs 4.25 crore. budget allocated.

Only 26 luxury vehicles have come in this amount. The work of registration of vehicles has also been started in Mohali. According to departmental sources, these new vehicles will be included in the convoys of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, two Deputy Chief Ministers and cabinet ministers.
