To stop this, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has started sending Dharma Prachar Committees at the village level for publicity. The people of the village have also been asked to propagate Sikhism.

Punjab Religion Conversion: In order to stop conversions by Christian preachers in villages in Punjab, the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) has started sending Dharma Pracharak Committees at the village level for propaganda. For this, about 150 publicity committees have been formed. These committees have been entrusted with the responsibility of propagating Sikhism in the villages so that the increasing conversion can be controlled. At the same time, the officials of SGPC have also appealed to the people to promote Sikhi by forming committees in their villages. Connect youth with Gurughar and spread information about Sikh history to children.
In this regard, SGPC General Secretary Bhagwant Singh Sialka said that on the orders of SGPC President BB Jagir Kaur, the committees have started propagating Sikhism in different villages. These committees have 11 or more members. SGPC pracharaks, SGPC employees and members and people of the area are also being included in the committees, who will go door-to-door to propagate Sikhi. Along with this, work is being done to bring back people who have converted to another religion by converting to another religion. They will be connected with Gurughar after getting Amritpaan.
The literature of Sikh history will be delivered from door to door
Sialka said that the members of these committees would also deliver literature related to Sikh history from door to door. On behalf of the committees, the promotion and propagation of Sikhi will be done in homes, gurudwaras and educational institutions as well. SGPC has always been making special contribution to the promotion of religion. After campaigning in different areas for a week, these committees will also conduct Amrit communication program on the last day of the week.
