Yes, Royal Enfield is soon going to send 2 Royal Enfield Himalayan riders to the South Pole for the ’90° SOUTH – Quest for the Pole’ Expedition. This exciting journey will start from 26th November.

Trying to cover a thrilling and difficult journey of 770 kms in 39 days
The journey to the South Pole of the Himalayas will start from the Ross Ice Shelf and go to the Amundsen-Scott Pole Station at the South Pole via Leverett Glacier. During this, 2 brave riders driving the Himalayan will cover a distance of 770 km in 39 days. Rides & Community’s Santosh Vijay Kumar and Senior Engineer Product Development Dean Coxson have been preparing for this exciting journey on rough terrains. This journey is scary because the temperature here is in minus and during this while the rider faces a lot of difficulties, while this journey is also very difficult for the bike.

Special preparation and partnership with experts
For this rough ride, Royal Enfield has fitted knobby tubeless tires in its Himalayan along with a revised sprocket and alternator. Since these roads are snowy, Royal Enfield has said to take special care of the safety of the bike along with the rider, to make this difficult journey memorable as well as make the occasion of 120 years of the company unique. . For this Himalayan journey, Royal Enfield has partnered with a company called Arctic Trucks, which has experience of touring more than 3 lakh kilometers in the Antarctic Plateau.
