Sonbhadra Crime News: Six-and-a-half years ago, a teenager convicted of raping her alone in the house has been sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment. In this case, the court of Additional Sessions Judge / Special Judge POCSO Act Pankaj Srivastava, while hearing on Friday, found Parvez guilty of rape. For this, he was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs 30,000. In case of non-payment of fine, he will have to undergo additional imprisonment for six months. The period spent in jail will also be included in the sentence. After payment of fine, the entire amount will be given to the victim.

According to the prosecution plot, a person resident of a village of Babhni police station area reached Babhni police station on April 9, 2015 and gave a complaint. It is alleged that at 7 pm on April 1, 2015, his 16-year-old daughter was alone in the house. At the same time, Parvez, a resident of Badhor village, reached her house and found her daughter alone and started raping her forcibly. Hearing his cries, the daughter-in-law and another daughter reached there. Seeing them coming, Parvez ran away from there. Due to localization, the people of the society tried to get the victim married to the accused but the accused refused. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and started investigation. During this, after finding sufficient evidence, a charge sheet was filed in the court.

While hearing the matter, the court heard the arguments of the advocates of both the sides. Perused the statements and records of the witnesses. On the basis of this, Parvez was convicted and sentenced to seven years imprisonment and fined Rs 30,000. In default of payment of fine, it was decided to undergo additional imprisonment of six months. Public prosecutors Dinesh Agrahari and Satyaprakash Tripathi appeared for the prosecution. On the other hand, while confirming the sentence, a police spokesman said that a case was registered against the guilty at the police station under sections 452,376 IPC and POCSO Act.
