T20 World Cup: Another strong pacer came in Team India, got reward for excellent performance in IPL 2021

Avesh Khan has so far taken 23 wickets in IPL 2021 for Delhi Capitals.

Like the last several seasons, another season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has given new talent to Indian cricket. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Harshal Patel are being discussed continuously and with them another name has become increasingly famous among Indian cricket fans in the last few months. This name is Avesh Khan. Delhi Capitals’ fast bowler Avesh is constantly touching new heights of success in this season and is at number two in terms of taking most wickets in the season. Avesh is also getting a reward for his excellent performance. It has been decided to associate him with the Indian cricket team for the ICC T20 World Cup, starting with the end of IPL 2021. Avesh will be kept with the Indian team in the UAE as a net bowler.

24-year-old fast bowler Avesh Khan has troubled the batsmen a lot this season with his pace, bounce and straight line length, while also impressing the selectors. Avesh also picked up the wickets of three big stalwarts of Indian cricket – Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni in the IPL 2021 season. He is in second place in the Purple Cap race with 23 wickets in 15 matches so far. Avesh’s performance has been very good in both the parts of this season (India and UAE).

can be included as a reserve

According to the report of news agency PTI, if the Indian team management felt the need, then Avesh Khan can also be kept on standby ahead of the net bowler. Talking to PTI, a source with knowledge of this said,

“The national selectors have decided to include Avesh in the team. For the time being, he will be just a net bowler, but if the team management needs him, he can be upgraded (in standby).”

Were together on the tour of England

This is not the first time, when it has been decided to keep Avesh with the Indian team. Earlier, after a strong performance in the first half of the IPL in India, he was included as a standby bowler for the Test series on the England tour. However, he had to return due to a finger injury during the practice match just before the series. Apart from Avesh, it was decided to include Sunrisers Hyderabad’s stormy fast bowler Umran Malik as a net bowler.
